OK then...
So, I finally got some oil for my Fender multi-echo. Cracked it open, had a look, did a lot of cleaning inside the can, which doesn't look too bad now, though I do have a small scratch on the disk...
Looked like somebody had put motor oil in lieu of the LB65 at some point, which maybe explains why the guy who sold it to me told me it worked and it didn't when I got it...maybe he put some 10W40 in it and it worked for a minute or two? I dunno...
At any rate, what I'm wondering now is how to actually go about filling it up. Do I just use a dropper to apply enough oil to lube the surface of the disk? Do I need to fill the can until it's submerged? This seems unlikely, since both what I've read on this forum, and the instructions that came with the oil, would seem to indicate that the entirety of the 60mL container I bought is too much, yet it wouldn't be enough to submerge the disk, vertically mounted as it it in my unit. How do I go about filling it? Any help would be much appreciated!
