At what age (regarding musical instruments) is something considered vintage?

I admit I do own a 2 guitars and 3 analog delays made in the last three years. However everything else I own is over 25 years old. I am fascinated at anything made before 1975. I have not been to a music store and tried anything new in 3 years. Nothing new moves me whether it be a guitar, effect or an amp. I always go to the used section of the music store and usually just go to vintage shops and pawn...

What are you guys using for guitar cords? Do you make your own or buy manufactured cords? If you make your own what manufacturer of cord and jack/plug are you using? Is their any truth that brass plugs are better?
I have been making my own lately with Belden cable and Switchcraft plugs (and sometimes Radio Shack plugs) but I am interested in what you use.
~Oilcandelay~

Out of my own curiousity what other boards do you use and/or participate in besides this one?
I also occasionally participate in the Gretsch Discussion Pages, Dano Fever and the HDVDL. I also lurk and/or hang out at Yahoo's magnatone/valco pages, the hofnerhounds and gretsch and rockabilly guitar groups. Under a different name I also use the Telecaster Discussion Reissue Page, Webers amp and tele pages, the plexi palace, silvertone pages, googles jazz guitar page and way too many more....

Since I figure most of us who post here are home-based musicians who have the potential to drive our respective neighbors crazy, I thought I'd start this thread.

I have recently pushed one of my neighbors to the point of complaining (which is odd considering we have been cranking up almost every Saturday for SEVEN YEARS and they decide to complain now!). So I'm going through the process of researching some low-cost DIY soundproofing. I've found a few sites (<!--EZCODE AUTOLINK...
