They are informative but none address where to find parts.

Mine is functional, finally, after working on it for many months and scoring a schematic. However, once I got it working I discovered it needs a new tape disc. Does anyone know where I can purchase a new disc or a sheet of magnetic tape so I can make my own. Does anyone ever see any info about how to clean the heads/disc and keep it healthy?
Does any one else use one of these? I think it is the best sounding analog delay I've heard. it's much more 3 -dimensional than the AD-9 or DM-2; its also thicker and less grainy sounding (especially at longer delay times). I actually was able to custom tune mine (via the internal trimpots) to get about 400ms of delay (before noticable degradation) although it went even longer(maybe 600ms). The chorus is very "doubling" or detuned" sounding, as opposed to "swishy" or...

I have an RE-201 Space Echo and I'm wondering if there would be any harm in running it without tape to just use the reverb without putting any wear on the heads, etc. I don't think the reverb itself utilizes the tape at all (correct me if I'm wrong) and all my efforts in making my own loops still won't eliminate that awful flutter at the splice point, so my thinking is to use a pedal for the slap-back echo, but run it through the Space Echo to get the reverb. I like the reverb on the 201...
