Hi, I am a new poster and a new owner of a Fender Echo Reverb 1. I really love this unit and I have a few questions to ask that I did not find answers to on
the forum (maybe I am blind). The unit sounds great and it generally seems to be functioning properly. One of the problems is a loud mechanical rubbing noise
coming from the axil area that is attached to the large wheel that is run by the belt. When I tilt it on it's side (wheel side up) the rubbing sound
sometimes goes away. Maybe...

I am restoring a Morley Rotating Sound Expression Pedal, which appears to be a mid 1970 version with the basic rotating sound modulator 'oilcan' with a
three transistor pre/post amplifier circuit, with an expression pedal operating an output volume pot and a form of bypass switch, all mounted on a slab of
thick particle board. There is an equivalent photo at <a target="_blank"...

I just replaced a missing motor with a Dayton 4M070. (16.40 + Shipping). It was a pretty close match with two exceptions. First, the motor was running the wrong way, easily changed by unscrewing the two screws holding the rotor in place & reversing it. Also, the screws on the origional motor are 6-32. The Dayton motor has 8-32's. The two holes on the pulley side have to be opened up a bit. On the inside bolt, you have to cut off about 3/16th's to avoid rubbing on the large pulley.
