So, I found this Reverb at a yard sale, and despite how awesome it is, I could really use a new guitar more than this, so it has to go... It's in perfect working order, all tube pre-amp, and though i haven't checked it, the sound tells me the oil is still good in it. It's in used, but still good condition, though it looks like it's been in an attic for some time. I'm looking to get somewhere in the ballpark of $300 or if any one out there has one, a trade for a mexican...

I am working on a Dave Smith Morley PFL that was purchased off E-Bay from Britain & is 220V. I have a step up xformer & have proven the PFL is functioning fine.

hello. i got an old beat up tel ray wah/rotating sound pedal recently. the wah/volume functions seem to work fine, but when i engage the rotating sound, i hear it a little but not fully in effect. i opened it up, but i dont really know the how these things work. i dont know what the lever on the top is supposed to do or how it works. the guy i bought it from said it needs a spring, but i have no idea where it goes. if anyone can provide me w/ the pics in the top of a working wah/rotating snd...

Hi guys. I have a Tel-Ray Add-n-Echo. It works but the delay is all broken-up-sounding. And when I got it, I noticed on oil had leaked. Probably all of it.... I'm trying to find some! Any help would be much appreciated. Dan P.

noise in gibson echo - like a drum hit instead of reverb - any ideas?

So I've got my Gibson running, finally. Now, I get a sound like a drum hit the gradually fades away as well as the regular echo. I tried adding more oil, that seemed to change the overall sound to where it's more like a tremolo than a delay/echo, but the 'hit' remains. I can reduce it to some extent by turning down the volume on the guitar, but that's not a real solution. I suspect that a component value drift in the preamp is causing too much of a strong signal to hit...

Check those RCA jacks! If no output, weak output, or bad sound.

Tracing out my last intermittent problems in my Gibson, I discovered

a) The RCA jacks in the chassis are really bad metal, the solder tab just about fell off of one, and the remaining ones barely put any pressure on the plug. Bad connections, for sure. Not easy to replace, 'cause Gibson used a three on a card setup, but worth the effort of a good kludge, or hunting out a new three-on-a-card. I used a kludge mad of three top-quality hi-fi jacks from an electronics store....

I ordered some oil, which arrived quite promptly. I opened the can, which was quite clean inside, and found thick, amber oil. The can didn't want to come off of the base, and as I was reluctant to risk damage, I simply filled the can half full of denatured alcohol and shook it vigorously a few times. When the alcohol came out clean, I dried out the assembly and added new oil.
I went all through the electronics, new, slightly oversize filter caps, redone solder joints, insulation...

My morley EDl has no output, its the evo 1 model i think , becuase it has the small PCB board mounted with silicone to the motor mount, and has alot of trim pots.
